Voice Lessons
At Smyrna, we understand and encourage students to enroll in private voice instruction. Voice lessons will help students gain additional skills and confidence as the work individually with a qualified teacher. With the guidance of the voice teacher, students can make greater strides to reaching their musical goals. We encourage every student to consider enrolling in voice lessons.
Students who wish to audition for musicals, Freshman/Mid-State/All-State Honor Choir, Governor's School, or collegiate scholarships should highly consider taking voice lessons. The private instruction will help you get results that are not possible in a class setting. While we understand that voice lessons are an investment, we can guarantee a return as you develop into a more confident and skilled musician.

Voice lessons are offered on a weekly basis during a student’s choir class. Students will be excused from choir into one of the practice rooms for voice instruction (which means parents do not need to transport students after school!). All voice teachers have been vetted by Mr. Doo and Ms. Cooper, are fingerprinted and undergo a background check, and are considered employees of the Rutherford County Schools.
