Smyrna High School Choir
Ms. Cooper
Ms. Anna Cooper joined Smyrna High School in 2023 as the Director of Choirs where she will conduct the Chamber, Advanced Treble, Concert, and Treble Choirs.
​
She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 2022, and completed one year of teaching at Blackman Elementary School where she taught Choir and K-5 General Music.
​
Outside of school, she is active in Middle Tennessee Choral Society, She enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with friends, watching movies, and playing the video game Stardew Valley.​

Mr. Doo
Mr. Garrett Doo has been the Director at Smyrna High School since 2020 where he conducts the Chamber, Advanced Treble, Concert, and Treble Choirs. He serves on the Board for the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association as the Honor Choir Auditions Chair, is a Rutherford County High School Music Curriculum Lead, and serves on the leadership team for ESL Achievement and Celebration at Smyrna High School. In 2023, Mr. Doo was nationally recognized as a CMA Foundation Music Teacher of Excellence.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017. Prior to being at Smyrna, he taught K-12 Vocal and General Music at Eagleville School in Rutherford County.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Doo's choirs have received consistent Superior Ratings at Regional and State Choral Festivals. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Doo is an active member of the Middle Tennessee Choral Society and Nashville Opera.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with friends, taking naps, and cuddling with his cat Minnie.
